If you want to take a breather in a calm space, I recommend this café!

Hello everyone,

Coffee can be enjoyed at any moment and in any season.

I like to make a cup of coffee on weekend mornings and savor it slowly! I am sure, everyone has their own way of enjoying coffee.

This time I would like to introduce 「Saladday coffee」. The coffee shop can go an 11-minute walk from Akihabara Station or 9-minute walk from Naka-Okachimachi and Suehirocho Stations, for those who want to take a break and enjoy their time with coffee.

With its distinctive blue tiled exterior and warm lights, this café is a renovated bookbindery. The large glass windows and doors can see inside the store from the outside, and the coffee beans of the day are placed on the outside windowsill.

Looking around the store, I first noticed a large coffee roasting machine. It was so big machine. 「Saladday coffee」serves roasted coffee beans made by themselves. The shop’s wooden interior that creates a warm and relaxing atmosphere, along with the owner’s recommendation of records. It creates a relaxing space.

They prepared 6 kinds of coffee beans this time. Those beans were Kenya, Ethiopia, Colombia, Nicaragua, Cascara (from Guatemala), and Brazil. These coffee beans are available from medium roast to deep roast, so you can choose your preference roast beans.

Here is the menu.

・Drip coffee 500 yen ( you can choose the beans from 6 kinds, 5regions)

・Espresso 350 yen

・Latte 520 yen

・Americano 450 yen

・Mocha 550 yen

・Espresso Tonic 550 yen

・Cascara (coffee cherry ) 550 yen

・Cascara soda (coffee cherry soda) 550 yen

・Cocoa 400 yen

There is no food available, only drinks on the menu.

Drip coffee (500 yen), available in a choice of five regions at the top of the menu. They dripped the coffee so slowly and carefully. The other espresso, cafe latte, americano, and cafe mocha are brewed by an espresso machine. This espresso machine is the only one of its kind in the world, a vintage SLAYER machine!

I couldn’t decide whether to have a latte made with espresso by such a machine or hand-drip coffee. After much deliberation, I decided to order a Colombian hand-drip coffee! Here is the coffee I ordered.

Popayan, Colombia

Production area: Popayan, Cauca, Colombia

Farm: Several farmers in the Popayan area

Altitude: 1690 meters

Varieties: Castillo, Colombia, Caturra

Refining: Washed

Description: The beans have a fruitiness reminiscent of plums and acerola, with a sweet, savory, caramel-like flavor that lingers toward the end of the drink.

The coffee in the mug was more generous and drinkable than I had imagined. The Colombian coffee, as described in the description, had a strong fruity acidity, and while it had the sourness of acerola and plum, it had a very clean aftertaste. I was able to drink it all so easily.

The day was a particularly cold day, so the coffee made me so warm.

And I had such a wonderful time that I could imagine how great it would be to read a book while enjoying a cup of coffee in a space where time passed leisurely.

I had the coffee in the store, but you can also order for to go, so I recommend visiting during a stroll in Akihabara or during a break from work!

Please also read my previous article on cafes that offer high quality and aromatic coffee .

Thank you for reading to the end!

Let’s go to the high-quality coffee shop!!

Hello everyone!!

Thank you for accessing this website. Today, I want to recommend to you guys the high-quality coffee shop in Ginbocho, which is “GLITCH COFFEE & ROASTERS.”

This café, with its large windows and exterior. Here is so famous that no one who loves coffee knows about it! That’s no wonder; we entered at 9:00 a.m. and saw many people spending time inside, many of them regulars and another country customers. Looks like it will be even more crowded in the afternoons and on weekends!

This coffee shop prepared fifteen kinds of coffee beans when I went to the there.

The café features light roasted coffees and has a lineup of coffee beans from standard beans to rare and valuable beans that are sold at auctions. It is hard to decide what I choose because there are so many beans on display. But each bean’s characteristics and differences are described in detail, and staff members provide easy-to-understand explanations. So, you can take your time and make your choice with peace of mind.

This is Menu.

・Filter coffee

・Cold brew

・Latte

・Flat White

・Espresso

・Single origin affogato

・Juice

If you order Filter coffee, you can choose your favorite coffee beans from fifteen kinds.

The prices are from 700 yen to 3,000 yen per cup.

In addition, they have banana bread and caramel nut scones (both 380 yen).

This time, I ordered COLOMBIA RISARALDA MILAN, which features the aroma and flavor of peach, lychee, and white chocolate in a Filter coffee.

When I drank it, I felt a slight sourness at first, but it was not coffee’s sourness. The sourness is from fruits such as lychee and peach, so the coffee had a mellow taste. It was so easy to drink. It was so good that I almost said out loud, “It’s so good! Haha.

When staffs are served your coffee, you will be given a small card called a tasting note that describes the characteristics of the beans. This card indicates the balance of the coffee you ordered, the intensity of sweetness and mouthfeel. The cards are so stylish, I’m tempted to collect them all! It would be nice to order a different coffee each time and compare what kind of coffee you like!

The coffee served at “GLITCH COFFEE & ROASTERS” is a little more expensive than other cafes, but it’s so aromatic and smooth tasting that I highly recommend it! If you are looking for a place to enjoy high-quality coffee in the Akihabara, Awajicho, and Jimbocho area, why not visit?

They have stores not only in Tokyo, but also in Osaka and Nagoya, so we cannot take our eyes off that for those as well!

Thank you for reading to the end!

If you want to enjoy morning coffee in Akihabara!

Hello everyone!

This page is introducing about Anime, Lifestyle idea, Electric appliances, and Gourmet website in Akihabara.

Today, we would like to introduce so good taste coffee that you can drink in the morning in Akihabara.

It is “KIELO COFFEE”, and it is 5 minutes on foot Akihabara Station’s Showa-dori. You can also go there from Suehirocho Station in 4 minutes on foot.

KIELO COFFEE is a Nordic style’s specialty coffee shop in Akihabara business district. There aims to be a coffee company that solves the social problem of loneliness that is prevalent in Japan. The cozy and warmly lit interior of KIELO COFFEE was comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and open to talk to us, creating a great atmosphere inside the store. We entered the store around 9:00 a.m., and the store was full of people working or buying coffee before commuting to work.

There are seats for one person and tables inside the café. Both seats are equipped with power outlets and FREE Wi-Fi, making it an easy place to work or come alone.

This is the menu↓

If you order hand drip coffee, you can choose your favorite or interest from five different kinds of coffee beans. When I went to the café, I could choose from two kinds of COLOMBIA, ETHIOPIA, KENYA, and HONDURAS coffee beans at that time.

There also provided some bakes that were hom made carrot cake (gluten free),  homemade cheesecake, homemade vegan banana bread (gluten free), and cinnamonroll. (carrot cake 480 yen, cheese cake 500 yen, banana bread 380 yen, cinnamonroll 350 yen)

I ordered a homemade carrot cake and an ice latte, which I was very attractive to hear about being Homemade.

This store, which is open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., offers a Morning Special service that provides hot coffee, iced coffee, hot lattes, and iced lattes at reasonable prices from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. I also took advantage of this service and was able to purchase a latte for a little less than the regular price. (Only one type of bean was available for the Morning Special.)

The Ethiopian beans used in the Morning Special iced latte I ordered had a deep, dark chocolate-like flavor with a hint of sweetness that matched the richness of the milk very well and gave a smooth impression.

The carrot cake, with its spiced and fragrant batter, was filled with raisins and large walnuts, and I devoured it in no time at all, enjoying the texture! I have been interested in gluten-free and have tried various gluten-free products. This carrot cake was vary good, and I did not feel gluten free!

If you want to try some gluten free stuff and tasty coffe, I highly recommend you to go to this place.
